Dr Sotirios Bisdas 

 Dr Sotirios Bisdas is Consultant Neuroradiologist and MRI Lead in the Department of Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology in London, Associate Professor in Neuroradiology at the Institute of Neurology in University College London, and Professor of Radiology at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. He finished his MD thesis in Psychiatry after joint studies at University of Athens, Greece and University of Mainz, Germany. Dr. Bisdas was trained in Radiology and Neuroradiology at Hannover Medical School, University of Frankfurt, and University of Tübingen. He has completed a post-doctoral scholarship in Neuroradiology Research at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. He holds a MSc. degree in “Advanced Oncology” from University of Ulm, Germany and is also Fellow of the European Society of Head and Neck Radiology. His expertise fields include CT, intraoperative MRI, advanced and functional MRI and molecular PET-MR imaging in brain and head and neck diseases. He has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed highly-cited publications and 9 book chapters. He has received international awards for his multifaceted research achievements in neurological diseases. He serves as Clinical Lead of the Flagship program in Neurooncology, a joint initiative of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Dr. Bisdas serves as member of the editorial board of several leading journals in Radiology and Neuroradiology, is peer-reviewer for Neuroimaging publications, member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Head and Neck Radiology, and member of the Head and Neck subcommittee of the European Society of Neuroradiology.
